Meredith Oliver Named Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) Designee of the Year
January 31, 2017If you have seen me speak, read my blog, or even if you follow me on social, you MIGHT get the impression that I love what I do. Helping those in the home building industry is truly a passion of mine. I love helping businesses grow through the world of digital marketing. That being said, it’s always an honor to receive an award for doing something that I’m so passionate about. Recently, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named me the Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) Designee of the Year–and I couldn’t be more thankful.
The National Association of Home Builders is a Washington-based trade association that represents over 140,000 members. Involved in everything from home building to remodeling to multifamily construction to property management and beyond, NAHB is affiliated with 700 state and local home builders associations across the country. The MIRM designation indicates the pinnacle of new home sales education achievement. While getting to this point certainly required a lot of work, it really doesn’t feel like it simply because I do find being an online sales and marketing strategist so rewarding. That being said, I realize that there are many deserving MIRM designees in today’s market and I’m honored to be among those named.
The NAHB has certainly had my back over the last few years. In addition to my recent MIRM achievement, the NAHB Professional Women in Building Council named me the National Member of the Year in 2016. Additionally, in 2015, I received the Bill Molster Award for Outstanding Service and Lifetime Achievement from the NAHB National Sales and Marketing Council. Learn more about the NAHB.
Plaques, awards and trophies are nice, but the real reward is knowing you helped another business become more successful with FANtastic marketing strategies or helped an individual excel in their career via education. I live for those moments! If you want your career to advance, I strongly recommend pursuing professional designations like MIRM and getting involved at a local, state, and national level to give back to the industry. Service to others is the ultimate reward.
